The love triangle movies have been known in the bollywood since long time but it was initiated by the movie Andaz. Even though there were some movies which were having the love triangle stories but the movie Andaz the only one which attained the attention of everybody due to its perfect screenplay and story. The film had the great actors who have performed their best acting through out the Indian cinema. Nargis, Dilip kumar and Raj kaoor these were the characters who were known for their outstanding performance in the movie Andaz(1948). Although theandaz movie was anticipated for its success due to the 2 superstars together in the movie Dililp Kumar and Raj kapoor but at the time of making of the Andaz both of these stars were struggling to make a place in the Indian cinema.
In Andaz movie Mahboob had given the attention to the western culture and the youth of those times but he made the perfect representation to show the greatness of the Indian cultures and tradition. Ultimately the story of the movie tells us that the independent India
The main thing about this film was that the film was totally made to show the urbanization of the new Indian who has everything depending upon his background yet he faces some problems in his life but soon the values of his thoughts make everything clear for him.
As already said that the movie completely works on the love triangle in which the lead actress Nargis is married by Raj kapoor but her ex lover Dilip kumar is still in his life hence the story moves in a triangular way. Mahboob khan had made the perfect screening of the movies and because of that even the critics also anticipated as on of the best movie ever known. The film has a great composition of music by late Naushad.
Hence the overall conclusion is that Mahboob khan has tried to represent the modern generation of those times having the emotional dilemmas and the way they tackle that makes the movie incomparable.
