Kishore Kumar Biography

The true lovers Bollywood music will always remember the eternal voice of Kishore Kumar whose everlasting voice never failed to mesmerize the listeners. The legend is still considered the epitome of singing in Indian cinema. 

Kishore Kumar was born on 4th August, 1929 at Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh to Kunjhalal Gangoly and Gauri Devi as the youngest among four. His elder brother Ashok Kumar was an actor and his sibling Anoop Kumar also followed him to the acting profession.

After changing his real name Abhas Kumar Ganguly, Ashok Kumar, entered into Bombay Talkies as a chorus singer where his brother was already working. He started his acting career as a hero in the film Andolon (1951).After facing some difficulties in the initial stage; he finally succeeded as a comic hero.
